David J. Brann was born and raised in Canton, PA. He is the second of three children of Attorney Gerald W. Brann and Joy Brann of Canton. He graduated from Canton Jr./Sr. High School in 1986. After high school, he attended the University of Notre Dame where he graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, he attended the Toledo College of Law where he received a Juris Doctor degree in 1994. Attorney Brann subsequently worked as a law clerk at the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas.
Attorney Brann was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1999, at which time, he began working at Brann, Williams & Caldwell. In 2002, Attorney Brann was admitted to practice in the United States District Middle District Court of Pennsylvania. In 2018, Attorney Brann was admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
Attorney Brann has been a practicing attorney with Brann, Williams & Caldwell for 25 years. He is a general practice attorney focusing on real estate, estate planning and probate. He is also the solicitor for Canton Borough and Canton Borough Authority.
Attorney Brann is a past president of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Bradford County and French Azilum, Inc., and is an active member of the Canton Lions Club and St. Michael’s Parish Council, Rialto Theater, and Western Alliance.
